The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-West Trinidad, served by the El Socorro Water Works that there will be an interruption in their water supply from 7:00 p.m. on Saturday 3rd November to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday 4th November, 2018.

This is due to the isolation of the electricity supply in the area of the facility by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) to facilitate the installation of a natural gas pipeline along El Socorro Extension Road #2.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Port of Spain
  • Morvant
  • Barataria
  • El Socorro North & South
  • Woodbrook
  • St. James
  • Westmoorings
  • Cascade
  • Belmont
  • Laventille
  • Gonzales
  • St Barb’s
  • East Dry River

Customers are further advised that upon completion of these works, it may take up to 12 hours for the pipe-borne service to be normalized to some areas.

For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.

The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
