LEAKING MAIN DISRUPTS SUPPLY TO
PARTS OF NORTH EAST TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, who are currently without a water supply that, this is due to a leak along the 21" diameter transmission main located at Railway Road, Guaico.

Emergency repair works are currently underway that are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. today, Sunday 18th November 2018.

Areas affected include:

  • Sangre Grande (Town)
  • Turure
  • Vega De Oropouche
  • Guaico/ Guaico Tamana
  • Oropouche Road
  • Fishing Pond
  • Sangre Chiquito/Caigual Manzanilla
  • O'Meara Industrial Estate
  • Cumuto Road, Coryal, Carmichael
  • Sangre Chiquito
  • Malabar Phase 1,3 & 4
  • Tumpuna Road, North & South
  • San Raphael
  • La Horquetta
  • Carapo

Customers are asked to manage their water use efficiently, as it may take between 12 to 24 hours for the scheduled pipeborne water supply schedules to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these works.
