Operation at Point Fortin
Desalination Plant Normalised

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) wishes to update customers in parts of Point Fortin and La Brea, served by the Point Fortin Desalination Plant that, the facility was restarted at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Monday June 8th, 2020 and full production of 5.6 million gallons per day achieved at 2.30 a.m. on Tuesday June 9th, 2020. This follows repair work to underground electrical cable system, by Seven Seas Water (Trinidad) Unlimited, which owns and operates the facility. Pipe-borne water supply schedules to affected customers are expected to normalize within 24 hours thereafter.
