SUPPLY INTERRUPTION
TO PARTS OF SOUTH WEST TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South West Trinidad served by the Point Fortin Desalination Plant and Granville Water Treatment Plant that, there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Tuesday 7th July 2020, between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

This has become necessary due to planned works by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at their Point Fortin Sub-Station, which will affect the power supply to both facilities.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Point Fortin (high points)
  • Vance River
  • Vessigny
  • La Brea (up to the Pitch Lake)
  • Cochrane
  • Lot 10
  • Clifton Hill
  • Cedros
  • Bamboo
  • Pt. Coco
  • Coromandel
  • Techier
  • Merrimac
  • TGU
  • Parrylands
  • Mahaica
  • Cochrane
  • Reservoir Hill
  • Granville
  • Fullerton
  • Icacos and Environs
  • Columbus
  • Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules after restoration of power to the facilities.
