SUPPLY DISRUPTION

TO PARTS OF NORTHEAST TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due to a power failure caused by fallen trees on the electrical cables at the facility

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday September 27th, 2020.

Areas affected include:

  • Sangre Grande
  • Guaico
  • La Horquetta
  • Malabar
  • Greenvale
  • Mausica N&S
  • Oropoune
  • Coalmine
  • Manzanilla
  • Omeara
  • San Raphael
  • Carapo
  • Maloney
  • Five Rivers Arouca

Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.
