The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in Laventille and environs, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their water supply that this is due to a mechanical problem at the Picton 2 Booster Station.

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday 10th December, 2020.

Areas affected include:

  • Despers Drive
  • Quarry Street
  • Laventille Road
  • Upper St. Francois Valley Road
  • Layan Hill
  • Durant Street
  • Belle Eau Road
  • Red Hill
  • Upper Prizgar Lands
  • Richardson Lane
  • St. John Street
  • Upper St. Barbs
  • Upper Belmont Valley Road
  • China Town
  • Mc Kai Road
  • Gonzales
  • Pump Trace

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the facility returns to operation.
