SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY
GRANVILLE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South West Trinidad, served by the Granville Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due to mechanical problems impacting two wells at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently underway, are expected to be concluded on one of the wells by 8:00 p.m. today – Thursday 31st December 2020; while repairs to the second well are estimated to be completed by Thursday 7th January, 2021.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Granville
  • Coromandel
  • Bamboo Village
  • Cedros
  • Fullerton
  • Icacos

Customers in the affected areas are advised that they will experience a reduction in their normal schedule supply over the period of the repairs, however this will regularize following the full restoration of operations at the facility.
