The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by the South Oropouche Booster Station, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due to a leak on the 36 inch transmission pipeline in the vicinity of the diversion associated with South Oropouche Interchange, being done as part of the Solomon Hochoy Highway Expansion Project.

Emergency repair works presently underway are expected to be completed by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday 2021 June 24.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these works.
