SERVICE INTERRUPTION TO CUSTOMERS
SERVED BY THE MARAVAL WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by the Maraval Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due to a leak that developed at the facility today - Tuesday 2021 July 6. Emergency repair works have been hampered by heavy rainfall and flooding of the Maraval River and are expected to be completed by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday 2021 July 7.

Areas affected include:

  • Hillsborough Development
  • Third Street
  • La Sieva Road
  • Bossierre #1 and #2
  • Haleland Park
  • Along Saddle Road from Morne Coco Road to Long Circular Road
  • Andalucia Development
  • Lynch Drive
  • Fairways Development
  • Valleton Development
  • Federation Park

Customers are advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the resumption of operations at the facility.
