SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO PARTS OF NORTHEAST TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing low pressures or no water supply that, this is due to mechanical problems impacting one of the raw water pumps at the facility. Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, 2021 August 26.

The areas affected throughout the period of repairs include:

  • The town of Sangre Grande and environs inclusive of Guaico Tamana Road, Sangre Chiquito and Toco Road
  • Cumuto
  • Tumpuna Road
  • Brazil Village
  • Carapo
  • Mausica Road (North & South)
  • Five Rivers
  • Oropune Village
  • Wallerfield
  • Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4
  • La Horquetta
  • O’Meara Road (inclusive of Industrial Estate)
  • Maloney Gardens
  • Bon Air West
  • Piarco

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
