TO CUSTOMERS IN
LA BREA AND ENVIRONS

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of La Brea and environs who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due a broken 24 inch diameter transmission pipeline, located at corner of St. Mary's and South Oropouche Roundabout.

Emergency repairs to the pipeline, which was damaged by a Ministry of Works Contractor while carrying works on the highway expansion project, is expected to be completed by 10:00 p.m. on 2021, September Saturday 18.

The affected areas include:

  • La Brea Industrial Estate (including CGCL & TGU)
  • Vessigny/Union
  • Bassa Hill
  • Chin Fong Alley
  • Square Deal
  • Three Hands
  • Sobo

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, after the completion of repair works.

For further information or assistance, customers are encouraged to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.

The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
