The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant that, there will be a disruption in their pipe borne water supply from 6:00 a.m. on Thursday 30 th September to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday 2nd October, 2021.

This is in order to carry out emergency repair works to a ruptured 42 inch diameter transmission pipeline, located cross country in the Valencia area.

The affected areas include:

  • Piarco
  • Bon Air West
  • Maloney Gardens
  • O’Meara Road (inclusive of Industrial Estate)
  • La Horquetta
  • Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4,
  • Wallerfield
  • Toco Road
  • Manzanilla
  • Oropune Village
  • Five Rivers
  • Mausica Road (North & South)
  • Carapo
  • Brazil Village
  • Tumpuna Road
  • Cumuto
  • Sangre Chiquito
  • Guaico Tamana Road
  • The town of Sangre Grande and environs

Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.

A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request, with priority given to Health Institutions and Homes for the Aged. For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
