SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY
ARIPO WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by the Aripo Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to a ruptured 16 inch diameter raw water pipeline resulting in operations at the facility being stopped.

Emergency repair works to the pipeline located along the cross-country area of Aripo, are expected to be completed by 9:00 p.m. on Sunday 31st October, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • parts of Arima inclusive of Cocorite Road (between Henry Street and Malabar Branch Road)
  • Malabar Road
  • Malabar Phase 2
  • Wallerfield
  • Santa Rosa
  • Pinto Road
  • Train Line
  • Smith Lands

Customers are advised to manage their water use efficiently, as it may take up to 24 hours thereafter for the restoration of the scheduled pipe borne water supply.
