SERVICE INTERRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS IN PARTS OF NORTH TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North Trinidad, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is as a result of several disruptions at key facilities.

This includes at the El Socorro Water Works, where emergency repairs to a defective motor is presently ongoing and is expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Monday 15th November, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • Laventille
  • Long Circular Road
  • Dibe
  • Woodbrook
  • Cascade
  • Belmont
  • Dundonald Hill
  • St. James
  • Cocorite
  • St. Anns

Emergency repair works to a defective pump at the Four Roads Pumping Station are also currently underway and expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Monday 15th November, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • Goodwood Park
  • Westmoorings (North)
  • Victoria Gardens
  • Union Road
  • Richplain Road
  • La Puerta Road
  • associated side streets
  • Bayshore
  • Morne Coco Road
  • Hillcrest Drive
  • Covigne Road
  • Dangerous Corner
  • Diego Martin Main Road

Emergency repair works are required to address mechanical problems at the Valsayn Highlft Station. These repairs are scheduled to be completed by Wednesday 17th November, 2021 and will result in low pressures or no water to customers in parts of St. Joseph, Curepe, St. Augustine and Tunapuna.

The Authority further advises that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of repairs at these facilities.
