SUPPLY DISRUPTION

RUPTURED 12” PIPELINE INTERRUPTS SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY HILLSBOROUGH WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by Hillsborough Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that, this is due to a rupture at another point, along the cross-country 12 inch diameter transmission pipeline, off the Hillsborough facility. Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 9:00 pm on Friday 6th May, 2022.

The affected areas include:

Areas supplied by South Oropouche Booster:
  • Concordia
  • Harmony Hall
  • Glen Road
  • Mary’s Hill
  • Spring Garden
  • Idle wild
  • Mt. Grace
  • Mt. Pelier
  • Whim
  • Union
  • Summer Hill

Customers are further advised that following the completion of these works, it may take twelve (12) hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas.

A limited truck borne service will be available with priority to Schools, Health Institutions, Government Agencies and Homes for the Aged. For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA's Customer Call Centre toll-free at 800- 4420/26 or 639-6850/53.
