SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY EL SOCORRO BOOSTER STATION

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North West Trinidad, served by the El Socorro Booster Station, who are experiencing low water pressures, no water or disrupted water supply schedules that this is due to mechanical problems affecting one of the pumps at the facility.

Extensive repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday 15th June, 2022.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Port of Spain
  • Long Circular Road
  • Dundonald Hill
  • St. James
  • Belmont
  • Cascade
  • Laventille
  • Dibe
  • Woodbrook
  • Cocorite
  • St. Anns

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these works.

A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request. For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.

The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
