SUPPLY DISRUPTION

TO PARAMIN AND LA BREA

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in the Paramin area, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to an electrical problem affecting operations at Paramin Well #7. Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by midnight tonight, Tuesday 14th June, 2022.

Affected areas include:

  • Beau Pres Road
  • Unity Street
  • La Finette Road
  • Saut Deau Road
  • Le Platte Village
  • Morne Cyril
  • Fatima Trace
  • Winter Gardens
  • Paramin Hill

The Authority also advises customers in the La Brea area, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that, this is due to two ruptures along the 16 inch diameter transmission pipeline, located at LP 1547 and 1548 Southern Main Road, La Brea. Emergency repair works are expected to be completed by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday 15th June, 2022.

Affected areas include:

  • Point D’or
  • Cassava Alley
  • Bassa Hill (high points)
  • Pierre Road inclusive of all side streets
  • Newlands
  • Belle View
  • parts of Chinese Village

A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request. For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
