RUPTURED TRANSMISSION PIPELINE AFFECTS SUPPLY TO VALLEY VIEW, MARACAS |

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in Valley View, Maracas, St. Joseph, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that, this is due to a ruptured 12 inch diameter transmission pipeline, discovered in the forested cross-country, upper Maracas Valley area. At present access to repair the ruptured pipeline is restricted, due to a damaged bridge and landslip along the route, following recent rainfall. The Authority is currently assessing various options that will allow access to the pipeline and will provide a further update at the earliest, on the commencement of repairs and projected completion date Affected areas include:
In the interim, a limited truck borne water supply will be made available upon request. This can be made by calling WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426; or via the WASA Services App, available in the Play Store or Apple Store.
