CUSTOMERS SERVED BY HOLLIS WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant, who may be experiencing some mild discolouration in their water supply that, this is due to recent heavy rainfall over a short period. This situation affected the lake conditions, resulting in some discoloured water entering the transmission and distribution system.

The Authority is currently carrying out flushing exercises throughout the distribution system, which is expected to result in the system fully clearing over the next 24 hours.

Among the areas affected include:

Parts of Arima Arouca O'Meara Road Lynton Gardens La Resource Lilian Heights Riverwood Development Bon Air West areas along the Eastern Main Road from Arima to Arouca

D’Abadie Cocorite Road Cleaver Road Darwill Gardens La Florisante Ridgeview Heights Bon Air North Bon Air Gardens

The Authority advises customers who may still be receiving a discoloured supply, to let their taps run until it clears.
