SUPPLY DISRUPTION

TO PARTS OF SOUTH-WEST & NORTH-WEST TRINIDAD

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South-West Trinidad, that there will be an interruption in their water supply on Wednesday 20th July 2022, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. This is in order to facilitate repairs to a leaking 24 inch diameter pipeline, at LP #55 along the North bound lane of the Point Fortin Highway (in the vicinity of the Mondesir Overpass); as well as planned electrical maintenance work at the South Oropouche Booster Station.

The Authority also advises customers in parts of North-West Trinidad served by the El Socorro Booster Station, who may be experiencing low pressures or no water that, this is due to mechanical problems impacting one of the pumps at the facility. Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. today – Monday 18th July, 2022.

Customers are further advised that following the completion of these works, it may take up to twenty-four (24) hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas.
