SERVICE ADVISORY: CUSTOMERS SERVED BY NAVET WATER TREATMENT PLANT & CUSTOMERS IN CARENAGE TO GLENCOE AREA

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing low water pressures or in some cases no water that this is due to a mechanical problem affecting one of the pumps at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed at 4:00 p.m. on Friday 26th August, 2022.

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the supply to be restored to some affected areas following the completion of repairs.

In an update on the emergency repairs to a ruptured 16 inch diameter transmission pipeline, along the Western Main Road, Carenage (in the vicinity of ALCOA), the Authority advises that there has been an unforeseen delay in the completion of these works.

Customers in Carenage, Pt. Cumana, Glencoe and environs, whose supply has been affected, are advised that these repairs are now expected to be completed by 2:00 p.m. today – Thursday 25th August, 2022.
