SERVICE DISRUPTION TO PARTS OF SOUTH WEST

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South West Trinidad, that there will be an interruption in their supply from 2:00 p.m. on Monday 31st October to 2: 00 p.m. on Tuesday 1st November 2022.
This has become necessary in order to facilitate the following works at the corner ofNew Colonial Road and Rochard Douglas, Number 2 Junction, Barrackpore:

  • Repair leaking 300mm diameter pipeline in the vicinity of the Barrackpore Market
  • Interconnection at the corner of Rochard Douglas and New Colonial
  • AFFECTED AREAS EXPECTED RESTORATION OF SERVICE
    Barrackpore-New Colonial, Rochard Douglas, Khanhai South and North, Oropouche South Trace, Congo Hill, Lower Rock Road, Rochard Road and side streets, parts of Clarke Road, Seemungal Trace, Crawford Trace, Goodman Trace, Mulchan Trace, Bunsee Trace, Quarry Road Morne Diablo, Teemul Trace, Naipalia Trace, Satnarine Trace, Ramsingh Trace, Upper Rock Road, Platinite Trace, Mon Stewart, Cleghorn, Borde Narve, Carat Hill, Monkey Town and environs, St. Charles, Ste. Madeline, Friendship, St. John, Bronte, Papourie Road (Upper and Lower) 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday 1 st November, 2022

    Customers are advised that it may take up to 36-48 hours for supply to normalize in some of the affected areas following the completion of works.

    Traffic Advisory:
    Motorists are advised that there will be traffic restrictions, at the New Colonial Road, Number 2 Junction, Barrackpore and in the vicinity of Barrackpore Market.Motorists are asked to proceed with caution when approaching the jobsite and to obey the signs and instructions of Traffic Control Officers on duty.

    A limited truck borne service will be available upon request. This can be requested through the following self-service options: Use of the mobile WASA Services App which can be downloaded for Android mobile customers from the Play Store or iPhone mobile customers from the Apple store; or Use of the Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.
