SERVICE DISRUPTION

REDUCED PRODUCTION AT NORTH OROPOUCHE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant who are currently experiencing low water pressures or in some instances no water supply, that this is as a result of mechanical problems at one of the raw water pumps at the facility

Emergency repairs that are currently underway are expected to be completed by 3:00 p.m. today, Tuesday 8th November, 2022.

Sangre Grande, Manzanilla, Vege De Oropouche Coalmine, Guaico Tamana, Malabar, La Horquetta, San Raphael, Brazil, Five Rivers Maloney 3:00 p.m. Tuesday 8th November 2022

Customers are advised that it may take up to forty-eight (48) hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules, following the completion of these repairs.
A limited truck borne service will be available upon request. This can be requested through the following self-service options:

  • Use of the mobile WASA Services App which can be downloaded for Android mobile customers from the Play Store or iPhone mobile customers from the Apple store; or
  • Use of the Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.

  • Alternatively, customers requiring direct assistance or further information can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
