The Community Water Improvement Programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Public Utilities with WASA as the executing agency.
The Programme was launched in 2021, to address water supply challenges to unserved or underserved communities across Trinidad and Tobago. Thus far, the
Programme has seen over 150,000 citizens spread across north, south, central Trinidad, and Tobago, benefiting from a first time or an improved level of service.
CWIP projects include:
Development of new ground water sources
Construction and rehabilitation of Booster Stations
Installation of new distribution and transmission pipelines
Construction of new intakes and storage reservoirs
